The Rail Engine of History: Rajasthan's First Train.
On April 20, 1874, the first train in the erstwhile Rajputana State Railway ran between Agra Fort and Bandikui. This clipping celebrates the 151st anniversary of that monumental journey, marking Bandikui's origin as a major railway junction and a key center for the British Indian Meter Gauge system.

Chand Baori: The Stepwell with 3500 Steps.
Built by Raja Chand in the 8th-9th century, the Chand Baori stepwell is a mesmerizing architectural wonder, plunging 100 feet deep with its iconic 3,500 geometric steps. Known locally as a bhool-bhulaiya (a maze), it was originally created to provide the community with drinking water. It has been declared the 5th largest heritage site in India based on tourist arrivals in 2022-23.

Dating back 141 years, the beautiful St. John the Baptist Church in Bandikui is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. Built starting in 1883, its design was sketched by an English architect, while its unique beauty is enhanced by colored glass imported from Belgium. The structure is so well-engineered that it is said to be protected from lightning damage.
